Jack Black crushes TikTok debut with shirtless dancing video amid coronavirus pandemic

Updated

If there’s one good thing to come out of the current situation, it’s that Jack Black is now a TikTok star. The 50-year-old comedian made his debut on the social media platform with a #StayAtHome dance and it’s just what a lot of people needed amid the coronavirus crisis.

In the video, Black dances around shirtless in spandex shorts with a cowboy hat and boots. He twirls. He kicks. He pretends he’s a bird. Even when his hat falls off, the actor isn’t fazed. He concludes by sticking his tongue out at the camera.

Twitter erupted when the video was shared by former NBA player Rex Chapman. Over 3.7 million people (and counting) have viewed the 30-second clip and “Jack Black” has been trending on Twitter Tuesday.

Over 1.9 million people have watched the video on Instagram with Black’s famous pals leaving him encouraging comments.

“Holy no. Just perfection. Nailed it. I didn’t even see the hat come off,” wrote Jimmy Fallon.

“Literally just spent the last 10 minutes watching this on a loop. That’s like a solid 4 or 5 non-quarantine minutes,” added Justin Long.

“MY ZEUS,” said Nick Offerman.

“I’ve always said you’ve got range!” commented Twin Peaks star Kyle MacLachlan.

“That hat spill adjustment was flawless. 10/10,” wrote Nick Swardson.

“Love,” said comedian Jeff Darlin.

“Those kicks!!!!!” noted Black’s Jumanji co-star Karen Gillan.

Adam Scott simply wrote, “YES.”

Black is really living his best life in self-isolation. There have been runway walks.

Plus, some cowboy cardio.

It’s really the little things these days.
