Ann Coulter says Trump is "biggest wimp" to serve as president after shutdown ends without wall funding

Conservative commentator Ann Coulter lashed out at President Trump on Friday after he announced a short-term deal to end the partial government shutdown without border wall funding.

“Good news for George Herbert Walker Bush: As of today, he is no longer the biggest wimp ever to serve as President of the United States,” Coulter tweeted.

Coulter’s post came shortly after Trump’s announcement.

“I am very proud to announce today that we have reached a deal to end the shutdown and reopen the federal government,” Trump said.

The plan would “reopen shuttered government departments for three weeks while leaving the issue of $5.7 billion for a U.S.-Mexico border wall to further talks,” notes the Washington Post.

Trump’s announcement sparked numerous other reactions on Twitter.

Axios’ Jonathan Swan wrote: “A former White House official texts me, unsolicited: ‘Trump looks pathetic…he just ceded his presidency to Nancy Pelosi.’”
