While it can be invigorating to go it alone, solo tourists should consider a range of factors when carefully selecting their next adventure.

More than 21,000 respondents filled out surveys for the 2017 Best Countries Rankings. The worst countries to travel alone list is based on a compilation of scores from seven equally weighted country attributes: culturally accessible, friendly, fun, pleasant climate, safe, scenic and unapproachable.
