Pippa Middleton supposedly didn't let Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sit next to each other at her reception

Updated

Though Meghan Markle was MIA at Pippa Middleton and James Matthews' wedding ceremony on Saturday morning, she attended the evening reception with Prince Harry. Originally, rumor had it that she donned a black dress, which was considered a wedding "faux pas," but conflicting reports say the backless gown was actually maroon. Since the newlyweds ensured that no photos from the reception were shared, we may never know the truth. Sigh.

As for rumors surrounding what went down inside, The Telegraph says the "Suits" actress wasn't able to sit next to her royal boyfriend after flying 3,000 miles to attend the affair with him. In fact, Pippa supposedly separated all couples at the party. If you ask The Knot, the move wasn't very "considerate." Regarding seating etiquette, the go-to online wedding planner and magazine says:

"While [it] may seem like a great idea to mix in a few new faces at each table (and totally okay to do so sparingly), remember that people are most comfortable when they know some of their dinner companions. Be considerate. Not even your most gregarious friends will want to sit at a table full of complete strangers, so put acquaintances together when you can."

We wonder who Markle talked to at her table and if she made any new friends.

Other rumored details about the lavish affair include: the servers were models, the bride let her hair down for the party and the menu included trout and Scottish lamb.

And while we may not have photos of the reception, there are plenty of pre-ceremony snaps to gawk at:
