Baldwin's impression of Trump has been a staple of Saturday Night Live since before the election, and the popularity of the actor's impersonation had stars like Zach Braff and Diane Warren calling for Baldwin to attend in the absent president's place - in character.
"Time to suit up," Braff right in a tweet, while Warren pleaded with Baldwin: "Oh pleeeeeez Alec Baldwin go as trump at Correspondents Dinner!!!!"
Baldwin has not yet responded to the requests.

Hey @whca, since @realDonaldTrump has announced that he's not attending, it only makes sense that @AlecBaldwin deliver the keynote. #WHCA
