Not everyone is having a happy Thanksgiving.

Mississippi State quarterback Nick Fitzgerald is one of those people, suffering a nasty foot injury during the Egg Bowl on Thursday.

The quarterback went down in the first quarter, and some viewers captured the gruesome sight of his right foot turned the wrong way.

The injury forced Fitzgerald to be carted off the field, with many of his teammates surrounding the young QB in concern.

The 21-year-old was just 1-for-5 passing with an interception in the game before the injury.
