Chelsea Clinton was the center of attention Thursday night as she addressed the nation and introduced her mother, Hillary Clinton, at the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia.

The 36-year-old daughter of Hillary Clinton and President Bill Clinton definitely had a big role in the evening's festivities, and she made sure to dress the presidential part sporting a bright red Roland Mouret sheath dress, which drew tons pf praise. The dress, which hugged her figure, was equal parts classy and patriotic and she polished off her overall look with blown out tresses and subdued makeup.

And it got us thinking... Chelsea sure has come a long way since her first DNC appearance in 1992 when her dad, Bill, was running for the Oval Office. Back then, Chelsea, was just a 13-year-old teenager with braces, untamed yet natural curly tresses, and ill-advised fashion choices. (Although, didn't we all look like back then!)

In one appearance at the 1992 DNC, Chelsea sported an oversized purple, floral dress with a collar and a bow. She wore her half-up-half hair down in curls with a headband. The look in strikingly different to her polished style on Thursday.

Earlier at the 1992 DNC, Chelsea rocked an all-white pinafore-style dress that ha a very nautical vibe. She stood next to her mom, who was about to become first lady, and was wearing a red dress to offset Chelsea's white dress. The interesting part of this look is that the two basically swapped outfits for the 2016 DNC, with Hillary sporting a white pantsuit for her speech on Thursday and Chelsea in the red dress. Clearly the mother-daughter duo talk to each other about their ensembles.

The throwback photo comparisons are definitely fun to look at since Chelsea could potentially become the first daughter for the second time -- and we've seen her grow up in front of our eyes!
