Book claims UFO hunter stumbles upon 'vast conspiracy'

With the invent of technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, and 3D printing the lines between science and science fiction are continuing to be blurred. A new book continues this trend by delving into the real story of a man looking for alien life.

In "The 37th Parallel," New York Times bestselling author Ben Mezrich explores what he calls the "real life The X-Files and Close Encounters of the Third Kind," a true story of a microchip engineer named Chuck Zukowski who tracks paranormal events through the heart of America, delving deep into a "vast conspiracy."

The book details many "strange incidents" involving mutilated livestock at what the author calls UFO "hot spots," with Zukowski working to uncover what might be behind it all.

According to Publishers Weekly Mezrich delivers "thrilling stories of lights in the sky, screams in the night, and mysterious dark helicopters, readers will be more than ready for the exciting revelation."

Mezrich connects dots we didn't even know existed, said Kirkus Reviews, "Something's clearly happening out there in the high meadows and along desert highways."

"The 37th Parallel: The Secret Truth Behind America's UFO Highway" was released on September 6, 2016.
