RE/MAX of New York Hosting Free Real Estate Safety, Protection & Awareness Seminar in Melville for ALL Real Estate Professionals

RE/MAX of New York is bringing a free Real Estate Safety, Protection & Awareness Seminar to Melville for all local real estate professionals

MELVILLE, NY; OCTOBER 10, 2014 – In response to the recent murder of a professional real estate agent there has been heightened concern for the safety and well-being of real estate agents who go out on calls and lead home tours. To assist all real estate professionals with raising their safety awareness and improving personal security, RE/MAX of New York is hosting a free Real Estate Safety Seminar on October 29, 2014 at Blackstone Steakhouse, located at 10 Pinelawn Road in Melville, NY. The seminar is free and open to all members of the real estate community on Long Island.

RE/MAX offices are located throughout the state and each office has brokers, agents and staff who in their daily work show thousands of interested buyers and sellers houses, buildings and properties.

“Every day agents interact with people, many of whom they are meeting for the first time. The business of showing real estate puts agents in a potentially vulnerable position. We believe it’s important for agents to be prepared in the event of an attack. The seminars we are hosting across New York State will assist members of the real estate community to learn techniques and strategies to protect themselves and avoid potentially dangerous situations,” said Henry Weber, President and Regional Director, RE/MAX of New York, Inc.

In light of the recent murder of a real estate agent in the midwest, who was not a RE/MAX agent, RE/MAX of New York has decided to be proactive and host a series of real estate safety seminars in support of brokers, owners, agents and staff in the real estate community, not just those associated with RE/MAX. The seminars will be conducted in various regions in the state by Robert Siciliano, a widely-respected safety expert, author and media personality. Mr. Siciliano has presented for RE/MAX professionals in the past to help them become more conscious of potential dangers.

The Long Island Real Estate Safety Seminar conducted by Mr. Siciliano will be held on October 29, 2014 from 3:30 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. The seminar is free and will be followed by an industry networking cocktail party from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. RE/MAX of New York has also scheduled safety real estate seminars in Rochester and the Hudson Valley.
