The Summit Free Public Library Foundation hosted its inaugural reception at the home of Drs. Susan and Robert Rubino on Wednesday, October 1st. The festivities included a reading by former Summit resident and author Stan Parish reading from his novel Down the Shore.

The Library Foundation was formed to further the library’s established tradition of excellence made possible by generous private gifts and strong public support. The Foundation will seek private funds to enhance, not replace, municipal funding. The Foundation will focus on larger scale projects such as improving the facility, the technology and providing enhanced services.
