LEGOs, Train Rides and Education All Part of DeKalb Fire Safety Festival

The family event will be held Oct. 4 at Blackburn Park in Brookhaven.

The DeKalb County Fire and Rescue Department will host its Fire Safety Festival from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4, at Blackburn Park in Brookhaven.

The 14th annual festival is a way to educate families about safety and fire prevention. DeKalb County residents can gather, meet firefighters and fire safety educators, enjoy some food, check out the fire apparatus, and participate in safety learning activities.

Fire Safety partners LEGOLand City, and Lowes will have learning stations available.

Train rides, fire safety bingo, inflatable gyms, a friendly firefighter, vehicle extrication, fire trucks, and more will be on hand.
