The 7 best online deals of Black Friday 2015

For die-hard Black Friday shoppers, staking out a place in line and camping out on the cold sidewalk in front of their favorite store is the best part of the experience. For everyone else, it's a necessary means to the end result of scoring a cartful of deals.

Not anymore. More and more, retailers are taking their deals to cyberspace. This year, forgo the post-Thanksgiving crowds with these seven sales and deals you can shop from home.

Target: Electronics and home necessities

Forget pushing and shoving your way toward a discounted pair of Beats headphones or a reduced-price Xbox bundle. Discount giant Target is promising "no lines at target.com" this Black Friday with nearly all its doorbusters available online. Plus, through Dec. 25, cyber shoppers can score free standard shipping on online purchases (with no minimum purchase amount).

Sale prices in Target's 2015 Black Friday ad are valid Nov. 26 to 28. In addition to those online-eligible sales featured in the ad, Target will have more Black Friday sales available online from categories such as apparel and accessories, kitchen appliances, furniture, Christmas decor and more.

Wal-Mart: TVs and tablets

Black Friday begins a day early at Wal-Mart, where in-store deals kick off at 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. The retailer's online sale begins even earlier; shoppers can load up their virtual shopping bags beginning at 12:01 a.m. PST on Thursday.

And the good news for online customers is that for the first time, the majority of Wal-Mart's Black Friday deals will be available on the store's website. This includes sales on TVs, video game consoles and small kitchen appliances.

Some of the online Thanksgiving Day deals include a Samsung 60-inch 4K Ultra HDTV for $899.99 ($800 savings), an RCA 7-inch 16GB tablet with a keyboard for $50 ($20 savings) and a Dell black 15.6-inch Intel i3 laptop for $279 ($120 savings).

Macy's: Clothing and kitchen appliances

Customers can shop all day Thanksgiving at macys.com/blackfriday. Not only can you scoop up big deals on apparel and appliances, but the store will also offer free shipping with a purchase of $50 or more.

Some of the retailer's biggest Black Friday doorbusters this year include select women's boots for $19.99 (regularly $59 to $69), select puffer coats for juniors for $19.99 (regularly $69.50), select cashmere sweaters for $39.99 (regularly $139) and select kitchen appliances for $7.99 after a $12 rebate (regularly $39.99).

Keep in mind that most doorbuster prices increase after 1 p.m. on Black Friday, so the earlier you shop, the better.

Staples: Laptops

Staples won't open its stores until 6 a.m. on Black Friday, but online shoppers can get a jump-start on the competition. The Black Friday office supply blowout begins online on Thanksgiving Day. Plus, virtual shoppers can buy online and pick up in-store as early as 6 a.m. on Black Friday.

Shoppers can also save big on popular laptops, tablets and more. Sales are available while supplies last, and customers are limited to one of each item. Keep in mind that some sale prices can only be achieved after completing a mail-in rebate. Staples also promises online deals all through Cyber Monday on Nov. 30.

J.C. Penney: Apparel and shoes

Department store J.C. Penney's 2015 Black Friday ad promises shoppers "it's on" with a host of multiday sales. Doors open at 3 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, but bargain hunters can shop online all day on Thanksgiving. Plus, the retailer is offering free shipping on orders over $49 (some exclusions apply).

From small kitchen appliances to apparel and bedding, customers can add plenty of deals and discounts to their virtual shopping carts. Some of the biggest draws include select women's boots for $19.99 (regularly $60 to $90) and 25 percent off select Nike athletic shoes and apparel for men and women. Black Friday deals will be available while supplies last.

Best Buy: Electronics and appliances

Electronics deals are all the rage on Black Friday, and at Best Buy, shoppers can score these deals online. The electronics giant will open its doors at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, but online customers can shop all day long on Thanksgiving.

Some of the most notable deals to expect this year include: up to $125 off an iPad Air 2, select Blu-ray movies for $9.99 each and 50 percent off the Misfit Flash activity tracker. In addition to the deals that have already been advertised, Best Buy promises that more doorbusters will be revealed on Thanksgiving – and only-online.

Amazon: Toys and clothing

Amazon is an online marketplace, so naturally, all of the retailer's deals will be available online this year. Amazon is offering shoppers tens of thousands of deals on electronics, toys, clothing and more through Dec. 22.

Shoppers can visit amazon.com/blackfriday to take a look at the discounts Amazon has to offer, many of which are available for limited time periods. And remember, as was the case last year, Amazon Prime members will have a leg up on the shopping competition. Amazon is promising members early access to more than 30,000 Black Friday deals.
