Foods That Can Trigger Headaches

Turns out it's not just blows to the head, stuffed up sinuses, or annoying people at work that give us headaches. No surprise, what we eat and drink can also make us feel like our brain is going to pop out of our skull.

The National Headache Foundation compiled a laundry list of foods that could trigger headaches, including everything from pizza to peanut butter.

Alcohol, especially red wine and beer, could bring the pain. Caffeine also has a chance of causing headaches, especially if you're a whole pot of coffee kind of person.

If you want a sweet treat chocolate, citrus fruits, and bananas could leave you with a sore skull.

Basically, anything you want to eat or drink, can, maybe, possibly give you a headache. The doctors of the Cleveland Clinic say the best thing to do is to keep track of what your eating and what it's doing to your body. As lame as it sounds, having a diet diary can save you a headache later down the road.

Also, it's not just what you're eating, but how you're eating. If you're fasting, just skipping meals, or get dehydrated, you're more prone to headaches as well.

So if you don't want to add a migraine to an already stressful day, look at what your eating, how often you're eating, and keep track of anything that could be giving you a headache.
