Rio de Janeiro's Pedra da Gavea will give you serious wanderlust
It's no secret that Rio de Janeiro is one of the best tourist destinations in the world with its beautiful beaches, rich culture, delicious food and bustling nightlife.

But there's another epic reason you should plan your next vacation in the Brazilian city -- to climb Pedra da Gavea.

Pedra da Gavea towers 2,762 feet above the South Atlantic and is located within Parque Nacional da Tijuca, one of Rio's beautiful tropical rainforests.
You can trek up the mountain on a guided tour or explore it on your own if you're truly brave.
The adventure will take you about 3 hours each way, which can be a true physical and mental challenge, according to the Huffington Post.
"It's not an illusion,"Julianna Oliveira, a hiker who braved the mountain, told the Huffington Post. "We must be very careful."
Once you make it to the top, soak up the sun, take lots of photos and bask in all the beauty beneath your feet.
