Vote for the nonprofit you want featured on AOL.com this #GivingTuesday: Week 3

Updated

The AOL team is always looking for new ways to spotlight game-changing nonprofits.

Leading up to #GivingTuesday, we want to do our part to help organizations champion their efforts. AOL.com will feature five organizations per week during the month of November, and allow visitors to vote on the organization they want featured on the homepage via a pro bono advertising space, driving awareness and engagement to millions of daily visitors.

The organization with the most votes each week will appear on AOL.com for a final poll in late November; the final organization with the most votes will be promoted again on AOL.com, this time on #GivingTuesday. We're excited to provide our support and help champion our nonprofit partners' messages!

Vote to raise awareness for the nonprofit that resonates the most with you. It just takes one click.

Step Up Women's Network

Step Up believes all girls should have the opportunity to fulfill their potential. The nonprofit inspires women to inspire teen girls from under-resourced communities through after-school and weekend mentorship programs. During the 2014-15 school year, 100 percent of Step Up girls were mentored by at least one woman in Step Up's network. Students with different sources of support and information (like a mentor!) are more likely to stay in school and make better decisions. Step Up is on a mission to empower girls to be confident, college-bound, career-focused and ready to join the next generation of professional women.

Tribeca Film Institute

Tribeca Film Institute (TFI) champions storytellers to be catalysts for change in their communities and around the world. Each year, the organization identifies a diverse group of exceptional filmmakers and media artists and then empower them with funding and resources to fully realize their stories and connect with audiences. TFI supports artists working in scripted film, documentary film, as well as interactive projects. Further, their education programs empower students through hands-on training and exposure to socially relevant films, offering media skills necessary to be creative and productive global citizens.

Global Fund for Women

Global Fund for Women is a champion for the human rights of women and girls. The organization uses their powerful networks to find, fund, and amplify the courageous work of women building social movements and challenging the status quo. By shining a spotlight on critical issues, they rally advocates, raise money, build digital campaigns and get support to where it's most urgently needed. Since 1987, Global Fund for Women has invested in nearly 5,000 grass-roots organizations in 175 countries, helping to win rights for millions of women and girls.

Year Up

Year Up's mission is to close the opportunity divide by providing urban young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower them to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education. Year Up achieves this mission through a high support, high expectation model that combines marketable job skills, stipends, internships and college credits. Its holistic approach focuses on students' professional and personal development to place these young adults on a viable path to economic self-sufficiency. Year Up currently serves more than 2,500 students per year across 14 cities.

The Shelter Pet Project

Each year, 6 to 8 million dogs and cats will enter shelters and rescue groups, and only half will be adopted. Many people mistakenly think that shelter pets are damaged goods and that they did something wrong to end up in a shelter. The Shelter Pet Project, a collaborative effort with the Humane Society of the United States, Maddie's Fund® and the Ad Council, aims to dispel those myths and encourage prospective pet owners to make shelters and rescue groups their first choice and preferred way for acquiring companion animals.
