At 84 years old, Warren Buffett may not exactly be a young man -- but he wants to be. That's precisely why he's told Fortune that he has adjusted his diet accordingly.

"I checked the actuarial tables, and the lowest death rate is among 6-year-olds. So I decided to eat like a 6-year-old. It's the safest course I can take," Buffett told the magazine.

What exactly does a 6-year-old eat? Sugar -- and lots of it.

To start with, Buffett said of his 2,700 calories a day, "I'm one quarter Coca-Cola." The math adds up when you consider he drinks about five cans of the sugary soda a day.

That's 140 calories per 12-ounce can, according to the company's nutritional information. Don't forget the 39 grams of sugar.

As Fortune noted, it doesn't hurt that he owns $16 billion worth of Coke stock. What about actual food?

Buffett says he enjoys eating potato sticks and ice cream. He likes them so much, he'll even have them for breakfast.

Although Buffett's diet may be a dream come true for a 6-year-old, it's not exactly the recommended eating plan for that age group.

The American Heart Association recommends children between the ages of four and eighteen eat a balanced diet full of fruits, vegetables and protein.

Here's hoping Buffett is eating foods with at least some nutritional value -- even if it is celery with peanut butter.
